e.l.f. Review

If you haven’t tried e.l.f. Makeup and Cosmetics, then you are missing out! Not only do they have awesome makeup, but their prices are even more amazing. You cannot find this quality of makeup for rock bottom prices anywhere. I know I have tried and I always keep coming back to e.l.f. (which stands for Eyes Lips Face).

I was lucky to be one of the bloggers picked to try out the newest products from e.l.f. I love my job!! I tried three items: The Beauty Encyclopedia, Plumping Lip Glaze and Hypershine Gloss.

The Beauty Encyclopedia is a trendy Little Black of Beauty that serves as reference guide and contains all your eye makeup essentials including 12 eye shadow shades, 2 cream eye shadow shades, 1 eyeliner and 1 eye shadow brush.  I was impressed with the colours- they had a little bit of dark colours (ie. black), light colours (cream) and in between (browns and greys). Inside is a step by step guide to make your eyes really stand out. It was fairly easy to figure out what to do and where to apply what colour. It took me a couple tries before I got it down where I was satisfied that I looked good enough to leave the house (on a sidenote, it is VERY hard for me to apply eye makeup without my glasses so it is often hit and miss with me anyways!). However, once I did it right, the effect was exactly what I wanted to achieve- a sexy, smoky look. My “miracle eyes”- don’t leave home without them. Guess how much it costs? You are never going to believe me, but it’s only $5! Check out their site and see for yourself!!

Next up, I tried the Plumping Lip Glaze in Wink Pink, one of their new shades. If you want fuller lips without the cost or pain of surgery, then try this product. It really does make your lips look fuller! On one end is the actual colour and the other end has a clear gloss to power plump your pout. The Wink Pink was a nice soft colour that wasn’t too pink. It costs only $1- I am serious here!

Last but not least was my personal favourite of all three products- the Hypershine Gloss in Mauve. This gives both a pretty colour (like a lipstick), but with the shine of a gloss. The colour is gorgeous! It’s a muted neutral with some brownish undertones which I absolutely love. It goes on smoothly and is not at all sticky. I did need to reapply every few hours, but that’s ok. It is small enough to throw into my purse for touchups. Again this one is only a $1!!

e.l.f. is your one stop shop for all your cosmetics needs. They are always having specials so make sure to check them out and subscribe to their newsletter. Check out their wide range of products at super amazing prices!

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
