Dezign With a Z Review
Your home isn’t just some walls and a roof over your head. It is much, much more. I think of my home as my canvas- something I can customize and create to suit my unique taste and really show off my personality as quirky and crazy as it may be sometimes! I have such fun decorating which I got from my mom who is actually studying Interior Design (she’s fabulous and has many friends and family members who can attest to her work). I like to think that a little bit of that talent rubbed off on me.
One tool I use to design the room of my dreams is with vinyl wall decals. These can really change the entire atmosphere of a space and give it that extra “Wow” factor. I was lucky enough to be approached by Dezign With a Z to review some of their wall decals and let me tell you they are phenomenal!! I have reviewed quite a few wall decal companies in the past, but nothing like Dezign With a Z. They have some of the most fun and unique designs that I have ever seen! You won’t find another company like it!
Their vinyl wall decal are the work of young creative and talented designers from both Europe and the US. They pride themselves on their large selection of products to suit your home and office decorating needs. Their niche is that they have the largest wall decals on the market and with the most assortment of colours (24 different colours!!). Their wall decals are both modern and affordable because you don’t want to break the bank when redecorating. They are easy to install and are removable. So if in a few years, you decide to change the look, you can easily take them down without damaging the surface of your wall.
I was so excited to see what Dezign With a Z was going to send me to review and I was pleasantly surprised. They sent me a fantastic bunch of vibrant, fun wall decals to brighten up my home!
I received a red Giant Wall Decal of an old fashioned London Phone Booth. It is HUGE and amazing!!! I had a hard time trying to figure out where to put it in the house because it is such a unique design and I wanted to make sure it would flow with the rest of the decor. Dezign With a Z mentions that it would be good for a living room or bedroom. I was thinking more along the lines of a den or office. John and I still need to paint the office, but I want to be able to incorporate this feature into the look. I think it will really make the room pop. It is a unique look that may not suit everyone’s taste, but I love its quirkiness. This one retails for $200 and you can choose from a huge assortment of colours to match any look.
My favourite is the Classic 20 Flower Wall Tattoo in Black. It is beautiful! It is a good size so it will cover a good portion of your wall. We have it in our bedroom and it goes wonderfully with the red and black motif. It would look great in almost any room in my house. I was toying with the idea of putting it in the living room but decided not to since I still have to paint in there. It retails for $38 and comes in many colours.
Next I receive Birds on a clothes line in orange. This would be really cute in a laundry room! Orange isn’t my colour, but I love the design. It would be great even on a door. I don’t have a laundry room in this house (I have to go down to the dungeon….errr…basement to do laundry. I liked that Dezign With a Z sent me so many samples in various colours so that I could see just how diversified their product is. I am impressed!
Last but not least, I received Butterflies which actually come in a pack of 20. I got a few samples in both yellow and blue. There’s a million ways I can think of to use these to decorate…a kitchen, office, bedroom or little girl’s room. They are really pretty! I think red butterflies would be so pretty in my bedroom to go with the Flower Wall.
I am sure you are thinking now how do you apply these decals and where can you apply them. They will work on just about surface- smooth or not- like glass, metal, wood, concrete, and of course, your regular walls. Before applying make sure to clean the wall and ensure that it is really really dry (don’t apply to freshly painted walls). The bigger ones are a two person job as you will need two hands to hold it in place. To start the job, you need to rub the decal on a hard surface with a credit card or rubber spatula. Remove the white backing and place it where you want it to go on your wall. Then you rub it again with the hard surface so that it will stay on the wall, remove the tape and if there are air bubbles, you just rub them with a cloth and they will disappear. John and I were fine doing the one in bedroom and found it straightforward to do.
Dezign With a Z ships internationally so no matter where you live, you can place an order. On your next design project, why not check them out and see what treasures you can find. See if you were blown away by their selection and creativity like I was.
