She was the one person who shook Jesse McCord’s quiet determination. She was the only one he ever let in, body and soul. Then suddenly Amy Parrish was gone and the oldest McCord cousin devoted his life to the family ranch. Now Amy is back, offering help to Jesse find the McCord gold. My Review:

First off, I had no clue the author was this J.D. Robb, though you will always get just that with my reviews, my honest opinion no matter who the author is. However, this is a great author, even better in my opinion with this book! From the prologue down to the last page, this book had me completely drawn in, and waiting for more. The prologue just sucks you in the storyline, but by the second chapter, you are wanting more and more from the storyline, so you cannot wait until you get to the next book.

I know what it is like to go to funerals, and be around people you have not seen for a very long time, and what it feels like. The very first of this storyline, will suck you into the story even worse, because you can sympathize with the three boys, right up front. This at least sucks you into not only the book, but the series as well! You can almost visualize the area they are in, how the story unfolds…the love Jesse has for the ranch.

Now, I do not want to get into the storyline, but I am telling you, this book is a page-turner. Watching how this first book unfolds has made me even more excited for the next book, which gives you a teaser at the end of the book! This is a must read book and can be read in a day if you read fast I loved how you get a cowboy, a ranch, a love story AND problems all in one book! Can’t wait for the next one!

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
