Book Review | Flaherty’s Crossing by Kaylin McFarren

Title: Flaherty’s Crossing
Author: Kaylin McFarren

My Review:

The first book that got sent to me got lost in the mail so I was anxiously anticipating receiving the second book that got mailed my way. And I was definitely not disappointed when I received it and cracked open the cover. I could not put this book down! I read it in half a day (sorry kids! haha). I love Kate and her husband, Drew, even though at times I was fussing at each one of them. The characters are so true and open; I loved the realness of this book. Kaylin McFarren portrayed everyone as flawed and human with their own skeletons in the closet and emotions bubbling to the surface in the book. There is so much detail and thought in the development of the characters and story line. I know this is a piece of fiction but I could almost swear it could have been a true story. The plots were powerful, emotional, and eye opening. It made me think about what really should be the proirities in my own life. I enjoyed the journey through Flaherty’s Crossing and recommend everyone to read this great piece of art. Pick this book up; you will not be disapponted.
