Title: Eat, Nap, Play: How to Get Even More Out of Your Child’s Day for Less
Author: Robyn Spizman and Evelyn Sacks
I think I have mentioned before how much I love routine. I like vacation as well when I am free to do what I please but there comes a point every time, that I am ready to get back to work and back into a routine. With all the kids I have looked after as a Nanny the ones who were on a schedule were the best behaved and I enjoyed those kids and job the most.
The book Eat Nap Play written by Robyn Spizman and Evelyn Sacks is a well put together book written by moms for moms. This timely guide centers on back to basics philosophies: spend quality time with your kids and spend less money. Eat, Nap, Play shows you how to turn everyday mayhem into precious moments to build memories, foster growth, strengthen bonds, and just have fun.
The book teaches you how to turn simple trips such as errand running, grocery shopping into treasure troves of adventure. Instead of being bored, turn a car ride into a game to make the time go by faster. It tells you how to plan age appropriate parties and to take advantage of technology and the world wide web full of useful helpful information. And best of all cash-free ways for kids to learn, socialize, and grow into independent and resilient people.
We live in a world where our kids have way more to do then when we were little BUT…unless you have won the lottery…it all takes a chunk out of your bank account. If we could find cash free ways to have fun with our kids we could cut down on the extra curricular activities that cost so much and be able to teach and have fun doing the same sort of things at home or in a play group. The book is full of helpful ideas and your copy is waiting for only $14.95.
