LUSH Review

Simply Stacie

LUSH is one of my favorite companies for bath and body care products. You can’t get better than their ingredients and core beliefs. Stacie’s reviewed some of their products before, so I felt really lucky when she and LUSH gave me the chance to try out some of their shampoos, one of which is the greenest of green products I’ve tried!

The Cynthia Sylvia Stout Bottled Shampoo came right around St. Patrick’s Day, a very green holiday. There was beer flowing all around, but instead of drinking it, I put stout in my hair. So did my husband. I have always heard that beer makes hair shiny, but I was never brave enough to try it. The Cynthia Slyvia Stout made our hair super clean, and was good for both my hubby’s very thick hair and my fine. wavy hair. Along with beer, there is lemon and balsamic vinegar in the formula. Balsamic Vinegar is one of my Favorite. Things. Ever. I could drink the stuff, and I always said I’d bathe in it. Now I have. It’s great bottled shampoo with a very distinct fragrance. I liked the way it made hubby’s hair smell once it was rinsed out.

I was also able to try solid shampoo for the first time. It’s something I have always been interested in, and became even more so recently due to concerns about shampoo packaging. The Squeaky Green shampoo bar is the greenest product of all. It is green, both for the environment and in color, and even smells green, if that makes sense. You know what I mean. It has that freshly-mowed grass, earthy yummy scent of spring. Great for Earth Day and every day, and all your green needs. It got my hair squeaky clean, just like the name of the product promises. I need to try it with one of the LUSH solid conditioners. My husband it addicted to this little bar. It really is extremely fun to use, and it lathers up surprisingly well. Using this shampoo bar not only is great for your hair, but it lasts between 60-80 uses, can be brought on a plane because it’s not liquid, and saves the environment from producing, shipping, and recycling three plastic shampoo bottles. This is definitely a product we will buy and use again and again.
