DownEast Basics Review

I love shopping for clothes as much as the next girl and I especially enjoy finding stores with great prices! Why pay more when there are stores out there with fashionable clothing at affordable prices? DownEast Basics suits my style to a T. I love their wide selection of stylish clothing and the prices are pretty darn good!

You can find everything from tees to dresses to swimwear and be sure to check out the New Arrivals section for their new line of clothes that are perfect for Spring weather. They even have accessories like jewelry to jazz up your outfits.

I received the Finest Pearls Top in Black and the XL Patent Hobo Bag for review. The top I received is short-sleeved, empire waist with a pretty detailed design on the bodice. It opens a the front with buttons so if you want to button it up or down you can and you can create a sexier look if you like. I loved that it was fitted so it was very flattering. Empire waists are my favourite type of shirts because they do make you look slimmer and accentuate the parts you want and hide the other areas you don’t want to be noticed. It is a bit longer so it covers up the tummy area and won’t ride up. I have been wearing my top for the past month now and it still looks like new. It’s a great little top that fits perfectly into my wardrobe and has become one of my favourites. You know how some shirts you just feel sexier wearing? Well, this is one of them for me. It’s also very comfy which is a must in my opinion.

The XL Patent Hobo Bag is quite a good size. I actually used it the day I got it in the mail for an overnight trip that John and I were taking. It is too big to be considered a purse, but worked great to hold one night’s worth of clothing and toiletries. It was MUCH more stylish than what I had previously been using for overnight trips…plastic bags. Sad, yes I know. But at least now I am travelling in style!!

This bag would be great for other outings too and could double as a fashionable diaper bag or to bring with you on a shopping trip. I plan to bring mine with me when John and I hit the yard sales this spring. It will be nice to have somewhere to put the stuff we buy rather than carry it in our arms.

The bag has a zipper closure and one pocket. The only thing I wished was that the zipper would seal off the entire bag. It leaves a bit of an open space even with it zippered up. Other than that, it is sturdy enough and does the job! It is priced at $26.99.

Check out DownEast Basics and see what they have to offer. You can also find a store in your area. I didn’t see any near me so I will be shopping online (which I prefer to do anyways).

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
