Blog Spotlight | Minnesota Mama’s Must Haves

I am running a feature spotlighting other Review & Giveaway Blogs. If you have one and would like to be featured, please email me at [email protected]

Today I would like to welcome Sarah from Minnesota Mama’s Must Haves. I had a chance to learn more about her blog and here’s what she had to say…

Please tell me about yourself.

I am a mom to a 22 month old daughter and a 6 week old son. Before having my first baby I worked as a Registered Nurse in labor and delivery. After having my daughter I decided to stay home with her and have been a stay at home mom ever since. I love being home with my kids and couldn’t ask for anything more. I have been married to my hubby for 4 years and he is the love of my life. We live in Minnesota.

Please tell me about your blog.

My blog is geared toward helping moms find great products for them and their families. I like to also share about my experience as a mom and try to help each other along the way. I do reviews and have great giveaways as well.

How long have you been blogging?

I just started blogging in April of 2009 and it has been quite an adventure! I never dreamed it would turn out as great as it has. I’ve been having a blast doing it and getting to know my readers.

How did you get started?

I absolutely jumped in head first. I really knew nothing about blogging and especially didn’t know anything about the technical aspect of it. I have learned so much since I started! It has been a great learning experience.

What kinds of products do you feature on your blog?

I feature family friendly products. I have also had a lot of baby products lately because I just had my 2nd child, a boy in December.

What was your favourite giveaway?

It is so hard to pick just one! I loved my Thank You Baby nursery decor review and giveaway and I also just had a Safety First Air Protect Car Seat giveaway that I loved.

Who does your blog appeal to?

My blog appeals to moms, grandmas and anyone else! I really try to feature a variety of products that appeal to everyone. I have moms, grandmas, aunts and even some guys that read my blog 🙂

What direction do you see your blog going in the future?

I hope to keep growing and reaching more readers. I love to support each other and share about this crazy journey we call parenthood. I am so thankful to have my readers to support and help me along the way. I also hope that I am able to share advice and tips that help other moms too.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far with your blog?

The biggest challenge I’ve faced is definitely finding a good balance between blogging and family time. I find it very easy to spend too much time blogging and not enough time being a wife and mother. Blogging takes up a lot of time and it is easy to get lost in it and not realize how much time you are spending on it. Now since having my son in December I have found it to be even more challenging to have enough time for everything.

What do you love about blogging?

I love that even though I am a stay at home mom I have a connection to the outside world. I’m able to connect with other moms and I have made some great relationships along the way.

Do you have a blogging pet peeve?

Yes, I hate doing Mr. Linky’s everyday haha 🙂

Do you have any advice for the readers entering your giveaway? newbie review bloggers?

I would say if you are entering a giveaway to do all of the entries offered including tweeting everyday. It is usually the people that do this that end up winning. You increase your odds so much by doing all of the entries. As for newbie review bloggers just stick with it. Know that it is a lot of hard work and you really have to love doing it. Enjoy it!

Tell me some of your favourite blogs that you read.

J. leigh designz, Happily Domestic, The Shopping Mama and I’m sure I’m forgetting some!

How can people find you?
