Girl Gotch Review

Wedgies are so uncomfortable. I remember when I was a young girl I had this problem. I was constantly picking at my underwear when I thought no one was looking. It just seemed like every pair of panties my mom bought me would “ride up”. So annoying. My daughters have the same issues. Bridget is always picking at herself and it doesn’t matter to her who is watching. She is 5 years old.

I’d like to report that we have finally found a pair of “wedgie free” panties perfect for her and they are made by Girl Gotch!! This is a Canadian company- Yay!  Rebecca, the owner of Girl Gotch had the same common issue with her daughter. As she was potty training her daughter, she had a really hard time finding a pair of panties that would fit her properly. She was always picking and fussing with herself despite her moms efforts in trying various sizes of panties. The idea of Girl Gotch came after an afternoon playdate between her daughter and nephew. Her daughter had an accident and needed to borrow a pair of her nephew’s “gotch”. Rebecca realized that her daughter wasn’t picking at her underwear or complaining about them at all. The gotch covered her bum and did not ride up even with all the playing. Rebecca knew then that she had made an important discovery and wondered why girls couldn’t have a gotch too!

Girl Gotch has an exclusive underwear line made just for little girls. They have two types of gotch- briefs and boxers. The briefs were inspired by the original “tighty whitey” but made with it in girly style. The boxers look like you would imagine, but in pretty colours and are perfect to wear under skirts or for sports.

I received a box of three of each type of Girl Gotch for my daughter, Bridget.  I couldn’t wait to try them out with her and see how she liked them. I have to say that Girl Gotch is now Bridget’s favourite choice of underwear. She loves all the vivid colours and is very comfortable wearing them. She doesn’t have to pick at her bum (thank you!!) and never mentions her underwear bothering her.

Bridget got a size 6 pair of each which fit her perfect. I like that the material does have some stretch so these will grow with her. The quality is awesome and are made to last a long time. Their sizing is larger than other underwear so there is no need to buy a size up. They also wash up really nice and the colour doesn’t fade. Both styles are so cute. I especially love the Boxers. I think they are such a neat idea.

A package of three pairs of Girl Gotch in either style costs $14.99 and are available in sizes 2 to 6. They have two colour options- White or Cool-Bright Vibrant. You can buy online or find a store near you.

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
