Blog Spotlight | Parent Club
I am running a feature spotlighting other Canadian Review & Giveaway Blogs. If you have one and would like to be featured, please email me at [email protected]
Today I would like to welcome Caroline from Parent Club. I had a chance to learn more about her blog and here’s what she had to say…
Please tell me about yourself.
Writer/Mother/sock finder/Blogger/laundress/Community Editor/mitten matcher/Researcher/nose wiper/buzz creator/Moderator/whatever…
Please tell me about your blog.
Parent Club is a Canadian blog full of information, activities, product reviews & giveaways and interviews to help make parenting life a little easier.
How long have you been blogging?
How did you get started?
I wanted to create a living portfolio of my publishing credits (I am a freelance writer by trade). However, Parent Club grew in popularity and has become an entity of its own.
What kinds of products do you feature on your blog?
Products and services which have a family focus. We have featured Crayola, Leap Frog, Indigo, Visa Canada and Great Wolf Lodge to name a few.
What was your favourite giveaway?
In December we ran a giveaway for the Flip Video Camcorder…that was very cool.
Who does your blog appeal to?
Tens of people ;-)…it appeals to parents (of any age or experience).
What direction do you see your blog going in the future?
It is like an electronic toddler – you never know what direction it’s headed next…you just have to follow.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far with your blog?
html coding can be a hair ripping experience…
What do you love about blogging?
I LOVE getting comments and e-mails from readers sharing things to put on Parent Club.
Do you have a blogging pet peeve?
People who just write “Enter me” in contests rather than following the comment rules.
Do you have any advice for the readers entering your giveaway? newbie review bloggers?
Re. readers entering Parent Club giveaways…see my pet peeve above. For newbie review bloggers, I would advise to keep your reviews respectful and honest. Also, maintain integrity by accepting reviews that fall within the focus of your blog/readership.
Tell me some of your favourite blogs that you read.
How can people find you?
