LUSH Cosmetics Review
Another cool thing is that they make everything by hand so no mass production here. You can count on only the freshest of products that can be days or even hours old by the time they reach your door. They also pride themselves on “happy people make happy soap” as each employee takes pleasure in their work. It’s always better when you love what you do!
I received two products for review: Karma Soap and Happy Hippy Shower Gel. They were made in honour of Woodstock’s 40th Anniversary and the “Taking Woodstock” movie release with the goal to turn your bathroom into a groovy getaway!
Karma Soap is a spicy orange, lemongrass, pine and grounding patchouli essential oils blend that is meant to calm, clear and balance a tired mind. This soap is an experience all in itself. It has a distinctive fragrance that will make your bathroom smell like you have added some potpourri. I like the smell although I prefer lighter, sweeter smells. It has a more masculine aroma which my boyfriend really likes. It leaves you feel clean and refreshed. This soap is sold by weight and costs $9.95 for 1/4 lb.
What’s really cool is the minimal packaging that is a trademark of LUSH Cosmetics. It is simply wrapped in paper and even has a best before date and the date it was made.
The other product I received was the Happy Hippy Shower Gel. This fragrance is more my style- fresh squeezed pink grapefruits and the essential oils of bergamot and frankincense. Yummy!! I LOVE this fragrance and it’s vibrant scent is what I need to wake up in the morning and get me going. It is a strong, but gentle gel and you only need a little bit. You can even use it as a shampoo. This one costs $9.95 for a 3.3 fl. oz.
