Totally Texty Review
Totally Texty is the brainchild of mompreneur, Sarah Mullican who is based in Illinois, USA. She was tired of buying shampoo for her tween that did not address the needs of his scalp. She has created two unique formulas of shampoo and conditioner- “ytmn” (you’re the man now) for boys and “ddg” for girls.
What is great about Totally Texty’s product line is that they are made especially for the scalp needs of your teen or tween. They contain NO harsh chemicals like Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Parabens, DEA and TEA. These ingredients have been flagged as carcinogenic and you can check under Parent Portal on their site for more info on them. Instead, your teen/tween will have hair that will stayer fresher longer because of the deodorizer that has been added in. It works to neutralize scalp odour that is common among this age bracket.
We got to try out the ddg shampoo & conditioner (for girls) and the ytmn shampoo (for boys). Both products have their own unique scent appropriate for each sex. Olivia tried out the girl’s shampoo and conditioner and she said she liked the smell of it. It is a kind of sweet smell that is nice and not too overpowering. She said it lathers and rinses out easily. It left her hair feeling silky and soft and it didn’t get greasy in between the days she washed her hair. Plus, Totally Texty is concentrated so you only need a little bit to do the job.
The bottle is shaped to look like a cell phone hence the name Totally Texty. It is a fun product that appeals to teens and tweens new pasttime- texting! Olivia thought it was neat that her shampoo and conditioner was a cell phone. Very “kewl” indeed!
