Nomadic State of Mind Review
They have some unique looking sandals! These rope sandals are made out of a small out of work coffee farm in Nicaragua. The folks at Nomadic State of Mind actually taught the community to make the sandals in order to create jobs and a steady flow of income. All of their artists are paid very well and are having lots of fun making these sandals. Very cool indeed!
Not only does Nomadic State of Mind care about helping people, but they also care about doing their part for the environment. In fact, 85% of their waste in producing their sandals can be recycled and used to make other products including rugs, bags and water bottle carriers! They don’t believe in excess packaging so your sandals will arrive in a USPS mail bag and NOT a shoe box.
For my review, I received a pair of Traditional JC Sandals in Camel. This is a rope sandal in a six criss cross strap design with an adjustable back strap. These sandals are handmade, vegan, and adjustable. They are really cool looking and so comfortable! I wondered at first how comfy they would be since I had never worn rope sandals before. I wear them everywhere and no blisters! I almost forget that I have sandals on that is how awesome they are to wear.
I love the look and style of them as well and they are a great sandal to wear when you are at the beach or out on the water. They are comfy to walk in and the rope is soft and does not hurt your feet. They are perfect to wear camping and they slip on and off very easily. I prefer to wear them for outdoors kind of activities since they are a bit slippy if you are in the grocery store or the mall.
They are easy to care for and are machine washable and color fast. This is the first sandal I have that I could wash in my washing machine!!
The prices are very reasonable and these particular sandals cost $26.50. I love my pair and they have gotten lots of wear this summer and performed beautifully. My sandals are still in great condition and are built to last.
You can buy these sandals or Nomadic State of Mind’s other products on their website.
