Ecotools Review

I am making a conscious effort towards making green choices in my day to day living. I recycle, bring my own grocery bags, try to eat organic when I can and use only eco-friendly cleaning products. I also use only green bath and beauty products which are more suitable to my sensitive skin.

I was very excited to be able to review a product from the new Ecotools Collection, a collection of the finest green beauty products. This entire line has bamboo handles. Bamboo has a low impact on the earth’s resources since it is a highly sustainable plant and can grow up to 4 feet a day. Wow! The collection features animal- free taklon bristles which are made from synthetic hair and the metal ferrule (the piece what holds the bristles on the brush) is made from recycled aluminum cans. It comes in a reusable pouch and the printing is done with plant based ink. You can now see that this collection is eco-friendly right down to the minute detail!
In an effort to give back, Ecotools has joined forces with 1% For The Planet, an alliance with other businesses who are committed to creating a healthier planet. 1% of Ecotools annual sales are donated to the organization. Very cool!

I received the 5 Piece Brush Set for my review. It contains a Mineral Powder Brush, Concealer Brush, Eye Shading brush, Baby Kabuki all in a natural hemp/cotton Cosmetic bag. These brushes are perfect for the mineral makeup that I now wear. I get way less pimples using natural products so they are the way to go where my skin is concerned.
I loved how soft these brushes felt on my face as I applied my makeup. They allow you to create a nice soft look with your makeup and it applies very easily with the brushes. My foundation was a cinch to apply and went on smoothly and evenly. A big selling feature for me is the fact that they are a green product. I’ve heard of bamboo and was always interested in trying out a product that used it.

Another great point I wanted to mention is that all of the Ecotools Collection is extremely affordable. I had to do a double take when I saw how GOOD the prices were! The 5 Piece Brush Set I received is only $9.99! It’s such an amazing price for the quality of brushes you receive. This is a high end product that you would think would cost way more than that! Actually, all of Ecotools Collection is affordable with the most expensive item at $12.99!!!

To purchase any of the Ecotools Collection, please visit their website to find a retailer near you.

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
