Piggy Paint Review
My youngest daughter, Bridget, loves to get all dolled up and have her hair done and fingernails painted. Like most kids, she still sticks her fingers in her mouth and eyes. I have always been reluctant to put nail polish on her fingers because of the harsh chemicals in the nail polish. I had yet to find a safe alternative to the solvent based nail polishes until I found Piggy Paint!
Piggy Paint Nail Polish is non-toxic and kid friendly with no smelly odours and is safe on your children’s nails and for the environment. The founder of Piggy Paint is a SAHM of two little girls named Melanie Hurley. She came up with the concept when painting her daughter’s fingernails and a small amount dropped on the foam plate that she placed under her daughter’s hand. The nail polish made an actual hole in the plate! She tested all her other so called “kids” nail polishes that are solvent based and they did the exact same thing. It was at that moment she decided that any substance that could eat through foam was NOT going on her kids!
Piggy Paint is safe for your kids because it’s:
~Fun, vibrant colors
~Dries to a hard, durable finish
Piggy Paint is specially formulated from God’s natural ingredients and dries to a hard, durable finish. There are no toxic chemicals; it’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone. Plus, the Piggy Paint Nail Polish comes in such cute colours that every little girl will love! They also carry Piggy Paint Nail Polish Remover that is safe and contains Vitamin E and aloe vera.
Piggy Paint sent me Girls Rule Piggy Paint Nail Polish and Piggy Paint Nail Polish Remover for my review. I tested it out on both my girls and thought it was a great product. It really did not have any kind of horrible smell at all! I always brace myself when I open up nail polish because I am so sensitive to chemicals which give me headaches, but this product I could barely smell anything as I was applying it.
It went on really smoothly and easily and was not all clumpy. I was impressed with how nicely it looked when applied and I also thought the colour was cute too. I love the wide range of colours they have to offer. Besides Girls Rule which I got to try, I think I would also like Angel Kisses and Twinkle Toes. I would even wear this polish myself!
I also liked how the Piggy Paint Nail Polish Remover was not at all abrasive. I cannot stand the smell of regular nail polish remover- I feel ill even thinking of the smell. However, this product was OUTSTANDING! No smell and it did the job!
The price for one nail polish is $9.99 and $10.50 for the nail polish remover. These prices maybe more than you would pay in a store, but remember these products are natural and non-toxic and I would definitely pay extra for those reasons alone. You can purchase Piggy Paint from various locations around the world (visit the site for the list) , online retailers or directly from Piggy Paint.
Piggy Paint has wonderful products that both my girls and I love and recommend to other moms with little girls!!
