Goat Milk Stuff Review

Goat Milk Stuff is owned by the Jonas family in rural Indiana. They are a family of ten who all participate in some way in the family business. I love how they get all the kids (except the very youngest) to take part in making and selling the soap. They have a farm with dairy goats and chickens.

Goat Milk Stuff began about four years ago after PJ (who is mom) decided she didn’t want to use chemicals on her children’s skin. I totally agree with her there! They always enjoyed making soap so they decided to turn it into a family business.

Each bar of soap contains over one ounce of raw goat milk which comes right from their own goats on their farm. The goats are all very healthy and given much love and attention and are not fed antibiotics or growth hormones. Because of this, the soap is so creamy and delicious feeling on your skin. Other ingredients in the soap include natural fats, coconut oil and olive oil. There no dyes or synthetic colours and only natural ultramarines, oxides, micas and herbs are used to give the soaps their colour. High quality essential fragrance oils are used to give them a fragrant smell. The bars are all hand cut and are quite large in size and weighs about 6 oz.

They have many varieties of goat milk soap to choose from including:
  • Bar soaps
  • Luffa soaps
  • Essential oil soaps
  • Organic soaps
  • Unscented soaps
  • Soap of the month (it’s Rosemary Mint for March)
  • Bargain soaps
The scent selection that is available is incredible too. I don’t have room to list them all here but the ones that I think would be my favourites are Black Raspberry, Coconut, Pink Sugary, and Vanilla (yes, I like the food smelling ones!).

My Review

Goat Milk Stuff was so kind to send me 7 different bars of soap! I was so excited when this package came that I wanted to try them all at once! They sent me Cotton Candy, Clean Cotton, Peppermint, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Vanilla, Rosemary Mint and Energy. I was impressed the size of these bars! They looked like they would last awhile (and they do!). The smells were amazing with my favourites being, of course, Vanilla and Cotton Candy. Each soap comes individually wrapped in a muslin bag which allows it to breathe and is safe for the environment compared to plastic. I loved the handcrafted appearance of it.I passed a few bars along to family and friends and asked them to try them out and tell me what they honestly thought. My mom tried the Clean Cotton soap and literally fell in love with it. Here’s what she had to say…

“My daughter gave me the “Clean Cotton” soap to try because I loved the smell of it. It’s so fresh and clean – like fresh laundry. Not only does it smell amazing, but it makes my skin feel very soft and clean….not drying like some soaps. It has a nice creamy lather and is very long lasting. I love it!!! I will be sorry when its gone so I just might have to buy some more.”

My aunt Lori tried the Oatmeal Milk & Honey soap and loved its fresh, clean scent and they way it made her skin feel the same way. She said it made her skin so soft that she didn’t even need her moisturizer which she would typically need for her dry legs. The soap took care of the dryness and left her legs feeling soft and smooth. Even her husband, Uncle Claude, loved the way it smelled and felt and thought it was great for his oily skin. They both said they would recommend it and would buy it again.

Everyone else who tried the other bars echoed the same things and all thought it was awesome and really made them feel good. I tried out the Cotton Candy with myself and two girls and thought it was awesome too. The smell is fantastic and its so luxurious to use.

The price is $5.00 for the bar soap that we all sampled and everyone thought that was a good price and would buy more. The variety is amazing so you can see for yourself which ones you think you would try.

I definitely recommend Goat Milk Stuff!
