Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 3 DVD Review

I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

We are in the middle of a pretty nasty heat wave here in NY. The heat and humidity have reached such drastic and dangerous levels that every news station is warning everyone to stay inside as much as possible. Except for short trips to the supermarket or grandma’s house, me and the boys have been in the house with the air conditioning on high. While we enjoy making pillow forts and doing little craft projects to pass the time, sometimes we just like to sit back and have a movie marathon! Helping us pass the time indoors this past week has been the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 3 DVD set.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 3 DVD Review

My oldest son is a big fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). There’s a new series on TV that he watches every chance he gets, and he’s very into all the little TMNT action figures he has collected. He was excited when this DVD arrived in the mail and it made for a fun afternoon with me and my boys watching a show I grew up with! It’s funny how many of the episodes I remembered from when I was a kid. It was a blast watching the turtles fight their main nemesis Shredder, with the help of Master Splinter (all while eating their favorites pizzas!). Really brought back nice memories for me. I’m glad my boys like the series too – because at the heart of it, there are really great lessons about teamwork, and doing the right thing.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 3 is a 4-disc set that has all 47 episodes of the third season of this classic TV series. It runs over 1000 minutes. Available as of July 23rd, this DVD has an MSRP of $19.98. While it’s listed as “not rated”, it is recommended for children age 5 and up. This would make a great gift for the cartoon lover in your life – whether it’s your child, grandchild, or even yourself!
