Ball Park Lean Franks Review

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

My family loves the summer months which is filled with lots of camp outs and grilling at home and at the park with family and friends. Our favorite grilled foods are delicious, juicy hot dogs and hamburgers.

Therefore, we were very excited to try the newest offering from Ball Park which includes the Ball Park Lean Franks along with the Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties.

Ball Park Lean Franks

Ball Park Lean Franks are available in Lean Beef and Lean Pork and features less calories and fat. I appreciate that these franks are made with 100% Angus beef or 100% pork so there are no unnecessary fillers.

We brought the lean franks and flame grilled patties along with us to the mountains for our summer vacation since we would be doing a lot of grilling out. The bun-sized Lean Franks were just as surprisingly plump and juicy as I have come to expect from other Ball Park brand products. It has a nice meaty taste and texture and was a hit with my husband and kids too.

Ball Park Lean Franks

I was a bit apprehensive to try the Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties which are frozen and pre-formed as I have never liked any of the other frozen burger brands that I have tried in the past. We put these on the grill frozen straight out of the package and in less than 15 minutes we were enjoying a delicious and juicy hamburger with a wonderful grilled taste. I was very impressed with the taste and texture and my husband agreed that it was surprisingly tasty. I would definitely purchase the Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties along with us on future cookouts!

I’ll have to check these out the next time we’re doing a cook out. Hopefully at least the franks are gluten free. I wouldn’t expect the patties to be as there;s usually a bread binder. thanks for the review!

I didn’t think Ball Park was still around! I remember their ad from when I was a kid : “Ball Park Franks. They plump when you cook ‘em!” And they did plump – we all watched when Mom made them!

I’d just about given up on having hot dogs because of all the stuff that are in some of them. Good to know that I can again have some hot dogs. Thanks for the review.

Sounds like some great products. I’m picky on my burgers and hot dogs. I want healthier but worry about lean hot dogs not being plump or meaty. I normally end up doing my own burgers to get a beefy, grilled taste. How wonderful and easy it would be to have these on hand.

  15. Helga says

I have tried the Ball Park patties and they are really good! The dogs look worth trying too, thanks for the review.

We always use 100% all beef franks, hate fillers in them. Whenever we’re in the states we always buy Ball Park Franks to bring home, they are so great tasting.

I like that they dont have filler there are lots of hot dogs out there that are made with who knows what. We all like Ball Park franks. I havent gotten any of the Ball Park Patties yet they are ususally out of them when I go for them. Must be good too : )

I would have to leave out that these were lean so that he would give them a fair chance. Would love to incorporate these into our meals.

I pretty much live for Oscar Mayer’s Fat Free hot dogs, but I’ll check out this brand to have as an alternative.
