Mom the Month Program (M.O.M) + Playtex® SmartCool™ Bottle Tote On-the-Go Review

Throughout 2013 Playtex Mommyville.ca wants to recognize the great work that Canadian moms like you are doing every day with the Mom the Month program (M.O.M). This is how it works: Moms will go to the Mommyville Facebook page and fill out the M.O.M questions for a chance to become a featured M.O.M on both Mommyville.ca and the Facebook page. The Mom of the Month program celebrates the real life experiences and knowledge that only mothers have.  Each month a different mom along with her words of wisdom are profiled in hopes of encouraging conversation and learning from each other.

Back in January 2013, when the Mom of the Month program first went live with the first Mom of the Month, guess who was featured?  Well I won’t make you guess, but I was the Mom of the Month for January.  You can see the M.O.M. questions that were asked for the January Mom of the Month feature as well as my answers here.  What an honour to be profiled by such a trusted brand! pTRUCA1-15328276_alternate1_dtPlaytex sent over one of their Playtex® SmartCool™ Bottle Tote On-the-Go which keeps bottles cool for up to 14 hours and many other great features.  With the summer and hot weather quickly approaching so is the season for picnics and outdoor activities.  Having an infant I know how important  it is to know I can bring enough milk to last our entire outing without having to worry about it getting spoilt in the heat.  With this Bottle Tote all my worries are gone and I know we are ready for all the family picnics coming up. The Playtex® SmartCool™ Bottle Tote On-the-Go features 2 full sized removable freezer gel packs that easily fit into pockets inside the tote meant expressly for them.  It’s so easy to use, just place the gel packs down flat in the freezer for at least 8 hours  – I just pop them in there before bed so they are ready in the morning.  The Tote easily holds up to 3 bottles and also has a smart little pouch for nipples or pacifiers along with 3 deep pockets for extra storage and to help keep you organised! The Tote is also easy to wipe down in case of spillage which is nice.  It also seams to be pretty sturdy and made with quality material.   I also love that while it is big enough to fit standard sized bottles it is still small enough to easily fit into my diaper bag so I don’t end up having to carry one more bag.

How cool is this product? Now especially during the summer months you need to have your bottles stay cold and this product looks so stylish too.

Absolutely no disrespect intended, but when I first read “Playtex® SmartCool™” the first thought I had was “a bra”, and I WISH it was, because summer’s on the doorstep and I would love a bra that stayed cool.

I of course was bummed when my son needed to stop breast feeding and start soy formula but it was best for him and really it made life easy because we could feed him anywhere so easily; but now that he’s drinking milk I need something like this because I am always hoping there will be a gas station or something where we go, and often have to settle for less than whole milk for that day.

A perfect accessory for summer moms. We worry about our drinks getting too warm but bottles are very important to keep an appropriate temp. Fashionable and useful. A great way to help moms on the go.
