My three children are big fans of the popular Nickelodeon show, Spongebob Squarepants. I have a confession to make……my husband and I also enjoy laughing along with the silly antics of Spongebob Squarepants and his zany pals, Patrick, Squidward and Sandy Squirrel.
In the DVD release of SpongeBob Squarepants Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay fans should be ready for an exciting adventure collection of episodes including favorites such as Squid Defense, The Way of the Sponge, House Sittin’ For Sandy, The Krabby Patty That Ate Bikini Bottom, Extreme Spots, Squirrel Record, Face Freeze and Demolition Doofus. My kids were roaring with laughter and testing their karate moves in the karate themed episodes. For example, in The Way of the Sponge, Sandy Squirrels sensei is not impressed with SpongeBob’s karate moves and the resulting episode is so funny and creative.
My children’s favorite episode featured on this DVD is Demolition Doofus and highlights Spongebob Squarepants driving in the demolition derby. What makes this so funny? SpongeBob is a notoriously terrible driver so it is ironic when Mrs. Puff (driving instructor) enters him in this contest ultimately turning him into the star of the show.
I home educate my children and monitor all of the shows that they watch. Why do I allow them to enjoy SpongeBob Squarepants episodes during their open television viewing time? I find this show to be funny, witty and harmless fun. This is a show that we enjoy watching together as a family and celebrate its silliness and the joys of being young and carefree.
