Peaceable Kingdom Review & Giveaway (US)

My children are huge fans of the cooperative games from Peaceable Kingdom so they were very excited to learn that new games have been added to the 2013 product line. As a mom who is constantly playing interference with my frequently squabbling 5, 6 and 7 year old children it is quite refreshing to have fun games available that encourage them to work together towards the end goal. It makes me feel proud to watch them helping one another as they try to solve challenges and have fun without feeling the frustration and dread that comes from overly competitive play and ultimately someone being the “loser”.

Peaceable Kingdom Review

Peaceable Kingdom has a wonderful selection of high quality games that have provided my children with hours of fun. Some of our favorites in the cooperative game category from Peaceable Kingdom for the preschool and younger crowd include Count Your Chickens! and Seeds for the Birds. We were very excited to try one of the newest cooperative games for older kids (ages 8 and up) called, What’s It?

What’s It? is such a unique, creative and enjoyable cooperative game for families that even the adults can have fun playing too. I played along with my seven year old son, Adam while my younger two children were also able to play as our “helpers” so they didn’t feel excluded. What’s It? game play is easy to learn and ever so much fun as players try to think alike. The goal is to beat the “Doodler” by rolling the category dice (“you eat it”, “you use it”, “you wear it” etc.), flipping a doodle card and looking at it carefully. Then while the 30 second timer is set everyone writes their guesses about what the doodle looks like on a dry erase board. You score and track points for matching answers while working together collectively. In addition to being one of the most creative games that my children and I are able to play together I love the educational twist too. My seven year old is practicing spelling and writing skills and all of my children are using their imaginations. What’s It? is a great game for kids to play together or for family game night, parties, sleepovers and more. As is my experience for all of the Peaceable Kingdom games in our collection, What’s It? is durably made and will withstand frequent game play. It is recently released so it is now available for purchase from Peaceable Kingdom for the SRP of $24.99!

Peaceable Kingdom Review

Do your kids love playing with stickers as much as my children? If so, you are not going to want to miss out on the fabulous new sticker collections available from Peaceable Kingdom. These are not just your ordinary stickers because each of the new stickers, sticker activity poster books, sticker activity books and sticker kits are designed to encourage imaginative play and features 3-D stickers, Glow-in-the-Dark stickers and more!

My children were thrilled to play with their two new sticker activity sets from Peaceable Kingdom. For the boys, they worked together to make a 3-D Make-Your-Own Sticker Alien Poster. This sticker activity set had two sheets of alien themed stickers that the boys put on the enclosed poster and they loved watching it “come to life” when wearing the included 3-D glasses. They proudly display their 3-D sticker poster on the wall in their room and show all of their friends and family when they come over to visit.

Peaceable Kingdom Review

My six year old daughter loves the Princess Sticker Activity Book ($7.99) which had 75 stickers that can be used in games and activities in the sticker book. Featuring princesses, fairies and mermaids my daughter really enjoyed positioning and repositioning the stickers in her book (we find that the stickers can be moved easily even after putting in the book). The bright, vibrant colors and pretty stickers are very appealing to my girly girl and she was even able to practice her new reading skills as she attempted to read the instructions herself.

Peaceable Kingdom Review

There are so many differently themed sticker books, sticker kits and sticker packs for boys and girls available at Peaceable Kingdom. These would be great for rainy days, travel and even as birthday party games and favors.
