As many of our friends up North are huddled inside on snow days looking for a fun activity….I have found the perfect game for all ages. The unique Scheherazade Storytelling Game is a blast and I love that it encourages creativity. Inside a soft pouch that looks like a slipper, it includes 120 “slipper-soft” tiles with images on each one that can be used to tell elaborate stories. Whoever is able to tell the best and longest story in a minute wins the round. My young kids absolutely love to play this game and with a little help from me they tell some really neat tales about “elephants”, “apples”, “paw prints” and “horses”. There are variations on the game too such as to see how many book titles you can come up with in a set time to go along with the tile images….this idea would be perfect for book club meetings or library groups.
Since this fun game is very portable and doesn’t take a lot of space we will definitely take this with us on vacation this summer to the cabin in the mountains. If you love storytelling and creative games then I highly recommend the Scheherazade Storytelling Game by Levenger!
