I am a huge fan of hot and spicy foods and I even put hot sauce on my Christmas wish list every year because I love to try the newest products. I recently discovered Jenkins Jellies which features an artisanal line of delicious pepper jellies. I had never heard of pepper jelly and was excited to give it a try…..I wasn’t disappointed! Jenkins Jellies are a taste explosion by combining local and organic fresh fruits and vegetables into an amazing sweet and spicy condiment.
Created by actress Hillary Danner and her team including Maria Newman and Chef Jared Levy there are three new flavors in the pepper jelly line including Passion Fire, Guava Brava and Fiery Figs joining the Hell Fire Pepper Jelly.
The Hell Fire Pepper Jelly is handmade in small batches and is delicious as a condiment and to elevate flavors in your favorite recipe too. I am enjoying making new recipes from the Sweet Heat Cookbook (SRP $15.95) and a few of my favorites include Roasted Corn with Hell Fire Butter Drizzle (even the kids like this), Chinese Hell Fire Shrimp and for dessert, Hot Hot Cocoa was livened up with a bit of the pepper jelly.
My favorite of the new pepper jellies, I melted with the rich, complex sweet and spicy taste of the Passion Fire pepper jelly and even my husband who doesn’t care for spicier foods thought it was delicious. The balance of the sweet and spicy and the tartness of the papaya make this an amazing pepper jelly.
The packaging images are amazing too and any of these pepper jellies along with the Sweet Heat cookbook would make excellent holiday gift ideas or hostess gift for any “spice lover” on your shopping list. You are invited to visit the Jenkins Jellies to purchase your favorites. You can purchase a single jar ($12) to try or to send a fabulous gift check out the gift baskets too. You can also get a great deal on a signed copy of the Sweet Heat Cookbook and a Jar of Hell Fire Jelly for only $22.95!
The Sweet Heat Cookbook is available for purchase at the website (get a signed copy) or at Amazon.com.
