I’m running behind this year on my holiday shopping! I’m starting to freak out a bit because I need to get myself in gear and figure out what I’m buying for everyone. I plan to shop mostly online like I did last year since there seems to be better deals online and I don’t have to drive two hours to get to the store (the joys of living in the country).
One online shopping mall that I was not aware until recently was airmilesshops.ca. I’ve been an Air Miles collector since I was 19 years old when my Grandma June raved about her card and how she collected points when shopped for groceries. Grandma had me sign up for one when we were on a shopping trip. On a side note, I always think fondly of my grandma when I use my Air Miles card. On airmilesshops.ca you can find over 100 stores that all accept Air Miles! I’ve heard of most of the stores and I had a hard time deciding where to start because there were so many that appealed to me. I ended up spending a few hours on the site and plan to go back to make more purchases.
St0res include top retailers like Sears, Amazon.ca, eBay, Dell, Victoria’s Secret and many more. To sign into the site, all you need to do is input your Air Miles collector number found on your Air Miles card. Right away you are set to begin your shopping and earning Air Miles.
After you are signed in with your card, just browse through the stores. You can search by category or look at complete Store Directory. There’s also Find a Store search box if you have a particular store in mind.
In the directory, you will see how many Air Miles you will earn on each purchase you make as well as if the prices are in CAD or USD. I went to the DVDS & Movies section and saw Amazon.ca listed. I would receive 1 reward mile for every $20 I spend. Then just click the green “Shop Now” button and I’m taken right to Amazon.ca and my purchases are tracked so that I receive Air Miles on whatever I buy.
I ended up spending about $194 on Amazon.ca and made a nice dent in my shopping. So if my math is right, I will earn 9 Air Miles on that purchase. I was going to shop at Amazon anyways, I might as well earn Air Miles right?
I actually just redeemed a bunch of my Air Miles reward miles for gift cards from Sobeys and a few magazine subscriptions a few weeks ago. They add up fast!
So my advice is to grab those Air Miles rewards on your purchases on stores you already visit at airmilesshops.ca!
