Filofax® Family Organizer Review

Every year, I resolve to use a personal organizer and I purchase a new one with the best of intentions. Ultimately, within a few weeks my organizer is gathering dust because I gradually stop using it.

That ended when I began using the Filofax Family Organizer which is the best all-inclusive organizer specially designed for families that I have ever used. I find myself referencing it every day to keep my home and work life as well as our homeschool activities organized and it has been an excellent tracking tool.

Filofax is a leader in luxury personal organizers and has been in business since 1921. There are a wide range of fine leather planners as well as attractively priced organizers, organizer accessories and refills.

I am so impressed with the overall quality and usefulness of the Domino Family Personal Organizer (A5) which is available in a black, chocolate or red leather-like cover that is held securely in place by an elastic band closure. Perfect for busy parents, the A5 Organizer ($75) has a slot for up to four credit cards/business cards and a cut out pocket with two additional pockets behind it for additional paper storage. The attached pen loop is extremely handy because I am not constantly searching for a pen when I need to jot down a date or number. There is even a pocket in the back to hold a small writing pad for taking notes.

The A5 Organizer and organizer refills include everything that I need to keep my family organized on a daily basis. There are sections for Family Member Information, Babysitting Information, Student-School Days, Party Time, Home Sweet Home, Pet Information, The Sports & Clubs Page, Budget Sheets and even a Travel Itinerary. I appreciate the “S.O.S.” pages which includes a section to note emergency contact information, pharmacies, local hospitals etc. My daughter has asthma and it can be confusing to keep up with her medication regime. I have everything noted with doctor’s information, times/dosage etc. and recently my husband had to give her treatments while I was at the store. I told him to follow the notes in my A5 Organizer and he was able to confidently get her asthma attack under control by reading the instructions I had noted in the S.O.S. section.

I will never forget a birthday again with the “Birthdays and Anniversaries” section of the planner and I love the handy “Meal Planner”, “It’s a Chore”, “Shopping List”, “Addresses” and “To Do” lists.

The “Weeks on Two Pages Calendar” is great for finding a date at a glance for up to three years and I love the generous calendar section which gives me plenty of space to write in our daily activities. It even has a special row of spacing for noting individual family members (you can keep up to six separate schedules).

The Domino Family Personal Organizer (A5) is an exceptional family organizational tool and the quality is luxurious yet affordable. I take my planner with me everywhere and feel confident that despite our busy schedules, we are organized and ready to tackle to the day.

You are invited to visit Filofax to browse the entire collection of Organizers & Planners, Organizer Refills, Paper & Essentials, Pens and much more. Go ahead and treat yourself to the Domino Family Personal Organizer or consider these are great gift ideas for the holidays.

Thank you! It is by far the best planner/organizer that I have ever used….I never thought that I would feel lost without my organizer until I discovered the Domino Family Personal Organizer. I take it everywhere and use it every day.

I really like the layout of this organizer! I also say EVERY year (and half way through that year again hah) that I should use an organizer to keep myself on track.. This may be a brand I will look into so I actually follow through with that goal :-)

    Thanks for sharing!

I say the same thing, in January and September….” Oh I need to get Organized”. I have never found a system that works best for me. I end up be more disorganized. This system looks like it could work bets for me. Thank you

    Hmmm… A Family Organizer… now why didn’t I think of that?! :P

With 7 kids, Mom, Dad and Auntie under the same roof and with completely different schedules, things can get pretty hectic at times. Great idea, and as always, thanks for sharing! :)

This looks great! I would love to have one, perhaps I could trick myself (or other people!) into thinking I’m organized! lol ;)

I love all the different sections listed! we homeschool but also have a lot of other activities outside the house, it is sometimes hard to keep track of everything! we have a board at home but that doesn’t help with on the go when people ask me questions to schedule something!
