The 2011 outdoor swimming season is officially over in Utah (and has been since August/September at my apartment complex), but that doesn’t mean that I can’t plan ahead to the 2012 swimming season. Thanks to Yokini Swimwear, I know exactly what I will be wearing next summer.
Yokini Swimwear is unlike any swimwear company that I have ever seen; their suits are designed to work for every woman, regardless of body type. Yokini Swimwear sells tops in 5 different styles: Sport, Bandeau, Halter, Underwire, and Tankini. There are also two styles of bottoms to choose from, depending on what kind of look you are going for.
This is the underwire top with the original bottom.
This is the halter top with the hipster bottom.
Jackie Keehan, the founder of Yokini Swimwear, sent me an underwire top and the original bottom (there is also the hipster bottom style, which fits a little differently) to try out for myself, both in black. I was very pleased that the size chart was so accurate; the Yokini Swimwear fit me perfectly. I was a little nervous about an underwire top because I’ve never worn one before for swimwear, but I really loved the look and feel of it. The underwire top ties around the neck and around to the back for a comfortable fit.
The original bottom is by far the coolest part about Yokini Swimwear because it’s adjustable and can be worn in 5 different positions. It allows women the freedom to show off as much of their body as they are comfortable with. For someone like me who is currently still shedding unwanted pounds, this is the perfect choice for swimwear. For now, I can position my Yokini Swimwear to look like a 1-piece suit, or I can adjust it to expose a tiny amount of skin for a sexier look while covering my belly, which still has some extra weight on it. When I finally reach my weight loss goal, I can then have a truly sexy look by pulling down the original bottom to just below my hips.
Yokini Swimwear is made of 82% Nylon and 18% Spandex for a glove-like fit. The material is thick and durable, and the stitching is flawless. Yokini Swimwear is also 100% made in the USA.
