With three children ages 4, 5 and 6, I have tried lots of different children’s shoes brands and Umi is by far my personal favorite. Umi has a wide selection of shoes for babies, little boys and girls and big boys and girls and the quality, style, durability and value is always exceptional. In fact my children wear their favorite Umi shoes every day and by the time they have outgrown a pair, it still has a lot of life left in it.

UmiTex™ is water-resistant and uses “breathable technology” for the ultimate in fit and comfort. This means that the shoe is designed with “gusseted tongues and taped seams to help keep water from sneaking” but still lets sweat dissipate out keeping their feet dry and comfortable. We put these shoes to the test on a wet, rainy Florida day as our first cold-front was coming through for the season. I held my breath as the kids were running around outside in the rain and was thrilled when the shoes came off and their socks and feet were dry!

The TROSEN style UmiTex shoes (SRP $80) designed for boys is not only functional but very stylishly designed too. Umi has taken the traditional features of a rain boot and turned it into the most amazing footwear that is perfect for active boys. I love that the soles are very durable and is designed to withstand lots of wear. My son declared these his favorite shoes to wear because his feet stay dry and he doesn’t slip on wet surfaces when playing outside on rainy days. These shoes are typical of all of the high quality Umi shoes that my children have worn over the years in that it is sized generously in order to give the feet room to grow making it an excellent value in my opinion.

Umi also has stylish, functional UmiTex™ shoes for girls’ too! My daughter loves wearing the BALLARI boots (SRP $80) because it is very comfortable yet very pretty with a pink heart stitched onto the shoe. These boots are so cheerful for rainy days and I like that the zipper design makes it easy to put on and take off. It includes the same “breathable technology” and her feet stay dry protecting her eczema prone skin from additional irritation as is common when she wears other brand shoes.

Overall, I am very impressed with the UmiTex™ line of shoes from Umi and these will be perfect for those wet days. There is a wonderful selection to choose from and you are invited to visit the Umi website to purchase your favorite styles!
