I love to give my children a special book in their Christmas stockings and this year Papercutz™, the premier publisher for graphic novels for kids has a wonderful selection of new titles for children of all ages including Lego® Ninjago® The Challenge of Samurkai!, Garfield & Co. #4 Caroling Capers and The Smurfs #8 The Smurf Apprentice.
My six year old son loves anything related to Lego® and as an early reader I love to give him books that will capture his interest through favorite themes and characters. LEGO Ninjago® #1 The Challenge of Samurkai! ($6.99) is his first graphic novel and he could not stop reading it. Written by Greg Farshtey (author of the popular BIONICLE® graphic novels) this series is based on the popular toy line and is full of action, exciting adventures, “good versus evil” and “Spinjitsu”. The graphics by artist Paulo Henrique and bold colors by Laurie E. Smith really make this a must-have graphic novel for boys and girls who are fans of LEGO Ninjago®. You can check out a preview of the LEGO Ninjago® graphic novel by visiting the Papercutz website.
All three of my children ages 4, 5 and 6 are enjoying one of my favorite all-time cartoon characters, Garfield. This hilarious new graphic novel, Garfield & Co. #4 Caroling Capers (hardcover $7.99) includes three stories based on the beloved characters by author, Jim Davis. This is the perfect holiday stocking stuffer gift idea and it is a book that grown-ups will enjoy with their younger children or independent readers will have fun reading by themselves. We really had fun reading these stories and looking at all of the wonderful illustrations/graphic art which truly elevates this unique, creative book.
I am 38 years old and my children were shocked to discover that the Smurfs were my favorite Saturday morning cartoon in the 1980’s. We were both surprised to learn that the Smurfs originally appeared in the comics. All of us were really excited to read the graphic novel by Papercutz™, The Smurfs #8 The Smurf Apprentice ($5.99) and it did not disappoint. It has all of the charm and humor of the original cartoon and it was like a blast to the past for me. My six year old was proud that he was able to read much of the text to us and my younger children enjoyed looking at the graphic art/illustrations.
You are invited to purchase your favorite titles from Papercutz™ at Amazon.com and you can also visit the website to learn more about all of the graphic novels available for Papercutz™.
