The DivaCup Review & Giveaway (WW)

I had been considering using an alternative to traditional feminine hygiene products but was afraid to try it out initially. I am so pleased that I got over my apprehension because after using the DivaCup I will never go back. I have used the DivaCup for over two years and I am very pleased with how effective and easy it is to use during my monthly cycle.

How does it work? The DivaCup is a “non-absorbent menstrual cup that simply collects menstrual flow.” After reading the helpful, detailed instructions and practicing a few times, I was able to easily insert the DivaCup “in the vagina where it sits at the lower base of the vaginal canal.” It is made of materials that are soft and flexible and once it has been inserted correctly, I don’t even notice that it is there. It works for every occasion and I feel confident that I am protected against leaks and spills for hours while using the DivaCup. In fact, I can wear the DivaCup for up to 12 hours before having to empty it!

After removing it, I wash it with a mild soap (I recommend the DivaCup Wash) and then reinsert it for up to 12 more hours. That means that even on my heaviest flow day, I can be free from constantly having to change the tampons or pads. I love using the DivaCup overnight because I do not have to wake up and change it and there have been no leaks on my bedding or pajamas. I wear the DivaCup everywhere and it is perfect for all activities and even sports like swimming, running, yoga etc.

I really appreciate that the DivaCup is BPA free, latex-free, plastic-free and there are no potentially harmful dyes, colors or additives to irritate my most sensitive areas. DivaCup maintains the highest quality standards and is proud to be “the only menstrual cup allowed for sale in Canada by Health Canada” and it is also FDA approved for use in the U.S.

The DivaCup is available in two model sizes. The Model 1 is designed for “women under 30 years old who have never delivered vaginally or by ceasarean section. The Model 2 is for “women who are over 30 years old and/or for women who have delivered vaginally or by c-section. I selected the Model 2 based on my needs and it fits perfectly. You can read more about more specific sizing recommendations by visiting the sizing section of the DivaCup website.

By using the DivaCup, you are not only being eco-conscious but you will save money too….lots of money. I no longer need to buy expensive tampons and menstrual pads nor do I need to replace expensive bedding or lingerie.

You are invited to visit the DivaCup website to learn more about how this products works and to purchase one for yourself. You can also check out the DivaCup Wash which is specifically designed to keep your DivaCup clean. The DivaCup is available for purchase at retailers in the US and Canada and online too.
