Holiday Gift Guide | Kidz-Med Review & Giveaway (US & Can)

When my sick child is resting, the last thing that I want to do is wake him up to take his temperature. With the VeraTemp™ Non-Contact Thermometer, I can get an accurate temperature with even touching him. I have never been a fan of ear thermometers because I would normally have to take numerous readings in order to assure accuracy and oral thermometers are difficult to use particularly with younger children. I was very pleasantly surprised with the VeraTemp thermometer because it worked instantly and the temperature is consistently accurate.

The VeraTemp™ has a built-in memory feature that will record the previous 32 readings and it can be used in either Celsius or Fahrenheit mode. It also has an Auto-off feature which helps save the battery life. I particularly like that it is illuminated and has an easy to read, large display so I don’t have to turn the light on at night when taking my child’s temperature.

This thermometer has numerous uses beyond taking a body temperature. It can check to make sure that the baby’s bottle is not too hot, the bath water is just the right temperature and even the room temperature. My husband works as a large printing press operator and informed me that he uses a non-contact thermometer at work because it is the most reliable way to get a temperature reading.

VeraTemp™ is pediatrician recommended and can be purchased at many major retailers including Amazon.com, CVS, Target.com and Walmart. You are invited to visit the KidzMed website to learn more about this product.

The human forehead is a very vascular and therefore ideal place for measuring temperature. The vasculature in this area is linked to the heart by the carotid artery, which is directly linked to the aorta. It forms part of the main trunk of the arterial system.
