OXY Maximum Review & Giveaway (US & Can)

I have been fighting a battle against acne for a long time. In fact, I was still a pre-teen when I started getting pimples and had to wear cover up to try and hide them. People from my high school will remember the cloud of powder that always surrounded my locker as I powdered my oily skin. My acne has improved as I have gotten older, but it’s something I still struggle to manage. I don’t get as many deep pimples (cystic acne) as I used to, but around my time of the month, the odd one may crop up and they hurt and leave scars. If only they had a cream to get rid of those ugly scars I have.

For the last couple months, I have been testing out a new product line that I’ve never tried before- OXY Maximum. The three products that I incorporated into my daily cleansing regime are:

OXY Maximum Face Wash: Deep cleaning face wash containing 10% benzoyl peroxide. It releases active oxygen to eliminate bacteria and prevent future breakouts.

OXY Maximum Cleansing Pads: These medicated pads contain 2% salicylic acid and are like the toner part of the regime. The medicine penetrates deep into your pores to unclog dirt and oil.

OXY Maximum Spot Treatment: Proven to kill acne bacteria in 24 hours with it’s 10% benzoyl peroxide formula. Use it when you have an active breakout directly on the pimple. It goes on white but dries clear so you can still leave the house wearing it.

At first I was a little nervous about trying the OXY Maximum line because I have such sensitive skin. I’m always like that when I try something new on my skin because I break out so easily. I wondered if the old saying would apply for me…you know the one, “it gets worse before it gets better”? Thankfully, my skin didn’t get worse and only improved- yay!

The first time I used the Face Wash, it burned just a tiny bit, but only last a couple minutes. My skin didn’t even get red. I think it happened because it was something new for me and it always likes to give a little protest whenever I introduce anything new. After a couple weeks of continuous use washing my face both in the morning and before bed, I began to see a noticeable improvement. In fact, John was the first to notice and said that my skin had really cleared up and asked what had I been doing different. Even around my cycle when I get flare ups, they weren’t as bad and didn’t last as long. Last month I had a blind pimple (cystic acne that doesn’t come to a head) on my chin and it really hurt. I applied the spot treatment and it was almost gone the next day and I could barely see it. Normally those fester for a few days at least!

Another thing I liked about the OXY Maximum line is that it didn’t dry out my skin. Some treatments will suck the oil right out of your skin and get rid of your pimples by drying out your face. My skin is not the slightest bit dry and has no flaky or red patches either.

Because I’m having a lot of success with these products, I am going to continue to use them.  They are both affordable and readily available at your local retailer or pharmacy. If you struggle with acne like me, why not give them a try!
