Title: RelationTrips – A Simple, Powerful Way to Bond with Your Loved Ones Through Personalized Road Trips

Author: Jeff Siegel

My Review:

Do you like road trips and family vacations? Are you looking to make your trips memorable but aren’t sure how to do it? RelationTrips is the book for you!

Written by Jeff Siegel, RelationTrips was inspired by a concept created with his son over ten years ago. Based on their mutual love for the NBA & MLB, they embarked on a journey to visit every arena & baseball park in the US. Their series of trips led to the concept of the RelationTrip–a trip that is more than just a single vacation. It becomes a series of opportunities to bond over common interests where the trip never ends but is just a brief pause to plan the next.

Part memoir and part brainstorming journal, Jeff shares pieces of his travels with his son and how they made the trips more valuable than an ordinary family vacation. He has brainstorming pages at the end of every chapter of this short book.

He covers 5 facets of the trip and planning process:

  • Considering the idea
  • Planning a Road Trip
  • Where & When
  • How
  • Special touches

I loved to travel before I had kids and this book has put the fire of the open road back under my feet. We just purchased a pop-up camper and Hubby & I are stoked about the possibilities!

Did you have family road trips? Any tips?
