Twisterz Toys Review

As a home educating mom of three young children, it is important to me to provide them with toys that are both educational and fun. I also value toys that don’t need to rely on electronics to keep it interesting.

Twisterz™ Toys were designed to “inspire creativity, learning and parental involvement.” It is a wonderful way to challenge young children by engaging them in a series of activities that promote logic, spelling, problem solving, hand/eye coordination and other important early development skills. I particularly love that it does not require batteries or plug-in…..just good old fashioned play time.

My children were delighted to have the opportunity to play with set of award-winning Twisterz™ toys. There are age appropriate models available for children ages 3-9 and my children who are ages 3, 4 and 6 were engaged in the imaginative play from the start.

The Twisterz™ Alphabet Matcher is a favorite because it encourages my children to find the five images that begin with each letter of the alphabet. By twisting and turning each stick to the correct corresponding letter my children were having fun and gaining confidence while learning valuable skills. It even includes an answer guide and three extra sets of rings. The Alphabet Matcher includes all 24 letters and 120 brightly colored images. At only $19.99, it is an excellent value that is sure to get lots of play from young children, including mine who ask to play daily.

My six year old who is entering first grade absolutely loves creating new words with the Twisterz™ WordGirl™ Word Builder. He and I enjoy sitting together and seeing how many words he can create between two and six letters long. I love to watch him get excited when he builds a new word. He is learning to read and this toy gives him a fun and creative way to build on his phonics and reading skills. It is also very versatile because I can interchange the rings to make thousands of word building possibilities. The WordGirl™ Word Builder is available for purchase for only $12.99!

My two younger children unanimously agree that their favorite is the Clifford Category Matcher. It is fun to watch them play together and problem solve with a Twisterz™ toy that features one of their most beloved characters, Clifford the Big Red Dog. With five fun and engaging categories such as “Winter”, “School”, “Park”, “Beach”, “Sports” and “Food”, this game is sure to be a hit with the pre-school crowd. Once they had mastered the matching part of the game, there are other fun ideas in the activity guide that includes finding colors, pairs etc.

There are Twisterz™ games that are appealing for all age groups and the Story Starter looks like a lot of fun and would make an excellent stocking stuffer for the holidays. I have been very impressed with the Twisterz™ models that my children and I have put to the test and I can confidently recommend these fun and educational children’s learning toys. If you have been looking for an engaging (and noiseless) toy to engage your children on long car drives, restaurants, doctor’s offices etc. then Twisterz™ is the perfect resource. You can learn more about Twisterz™ or purchase any of the products discussed in this review as well as additional models by visiting the website.
