Ever since I got my gallbladder taken out a couple of years ago, food has not been my best friend. I tend to default to protein shakes and the like since they are easy to digest. I do have my favorites and I could consume the same thing 365 days in a row and be ok with it. I am pretty picky, so once I find something I like, I stay with it. However, if I don’t like it, forget it, I will never buy or touch the product again. So began my first feelings about the shake mix by Body by Vi (Visalus Sciences). I used the Nutritional Shake Mix in the Sweet Cream Flavor. I made it like I usually make my shakes; with almond milk, frozen strawberries and blueberries and flax and chia seeds. I just kept tasting something in the shake I was not accustomed to and did not like. Then I got a reminder email from the Visalus Science representative that reminded me she emailed recipes and to try the Butterfinger recipe. Well I did and what a difference. Now, picky, shake loving me, can honestly say, it was delicious! The phantom taste vanished and whatever it was, was now undetectable by me. I could drink this recipe of the Body By Vi shake 365 days a year! I promise you, it is that yummy!
The Body by Vi shake mix is only one component of a much larger regimen, but for this part of the program I give it a “thumbs up”! The shake mix is GMO free and contains no soy. I think soy is getting to be the new thing to stay away from, so at least you can know it is not in the Body By Vi shakes.
The websites I have visited are well put together and if you need to lose some weight, this could be what you are looking for as you will have support and incentives to help you along the way.

Well, I don’t buy into the whole anti-soy propaganda (the Japanese have been consuming it in large amounts for thousands of years and one of the healthiest populations are found in that country..and yet we mostlyget all the breast cancers, and other cancers!). Anyway just my 2 cents
Soy that is produced properly maybe healthy, but once you are consuming soy that is not produced naturally, not the same soy that the Japanese consume, you should be concerned. As soon as something becomes the new health food the industries do whatever they can to mass produce it at a lower cost and we pay the price by consuming the crap that goes into making that “wonder food”.

Not that I’m saying there is anything wrong with soy, the Body by Vi shakes do have soy isolate in them. That big red heart in the back? Flip it over and read the text by the big red heart in the back, there is soy.
Past that, personally, I like the flavor of it plain, but there is maltose in there vs the general table sugar type of sweetener. Some people are sensitive to the flavor.
How do I go about getting this product for free without promoting it? I would just like to try it for a month to see if I’m satisfied with the taste, results and experience?

Stacie,
I had my gallbladder out in 2003 and I couldn’t hardly eat anything. I had severe cramps and was constantly running to the bathroom. My doctor prescribed me colestid. The generic is colestipol. It is normally used as a cholesterol medication but is also used for people who have had their gallbladder taken out. It absorbs the bile. I take it twice a day. I now have no problems with the cramps or going to the bathroom. I may once or twice a year have an occasional flare up. But on the subject of the Body by Vi shakes, I’m going to try it. Everyone I’ve talked to has had great success.
