Monetizing Your Blog: February 2011 Report

Last month I shared my affiliate earnings so you can see which programs work well for me. This month was actually better than last month’s report!

Total $383.36

Which program do you like the best? Are there any that you recommend I check out?

    • Stacie says:

Linkworth is mainly text link ads. You get requests from advertisers and then you can either accept or decline. It’s one of my best programs…although the site is a little confusing!

      • The site is so confussing and their customer service has not been helpful for me. I signed up a few months ago, but no luck at making money….

        Thanks for sharig your report!

  2. katie says:

Yes I agree its confusing. I signed up about a month ago and still haven’t figured it out. So I guess you just sit and wait for offers or maybe my settings are wrong….

  3. katie says:

PS Any tips would be great!

  4. mary says:

Thank you! Ill surely look forward to that. I really need to earn some cause I’m still a student and I pay for my own needs. :(

I signed up with Mylikes and Sponsored Tweets through you! :) Thank you so much! Have you tried Amazon affiliate? It has been AMAZING for me! I hope you give it a try. Also, various affiliates through ShareaSale. :)

    Hey Stacie ~

Wow, that’s awesome – congratulations! :-) I want to earn like you! Definitely looking in to several of these. I have WeUseCoupons…I’ve earned $3.75! I think I definitely need to learn how to “work” the Affiliate system.

Thank you Stacie – looking forward to learning more!

  9. Great job this month!

  10. I signed up from Linkworth but haven’t gotten any ads yet :-( hopefully I’ll get some soon. But I have to My Likes is EXCELLENT! My husband has almost 11K followers and has been signed up for almost 2 weeks and has made $100.

I’m with Logical Media too but haven’t made anything yet.

  11. Jodi says:

Hmmm, it says ads from this site are disallowed? Maybe they don’t allow blogspot? Good thing I’ve got another site on WP and I’ll be moving my blogger to wp! :-)

    • Stacie says:

Which program are you referring to?

      • Jodi says:

Oop – forgot to mention that! LinkWorth

        • Stacie says:

I just looked at the Terms and Conditions and think it’s because they don’t allow free domain sites like blogspots…I didn’t know that! This is what it says:
Submissions must be a unique domain that is owned by the Webmaster and easily maintained. Listings that reside on free web servers that result in long and confusing subdirectory URLs will be declined.

          • Jodi says:

Well that would definitely explain it! I was looking for Terms and Conditions and couldn’t find it – glad you were able to. :) I did get my one wp blog registered (waiting on approval) and then my other blog will be moving to wp in the near future.

Thank you for checking in to that!

            Have a great day. &hears;

  12. Stacie, with your traffic, I would think Google Adsense would do pretty well for you. Why don’t you use it?

  13. I share my affiliate earnings monthly as well. SOme say it’s not a good idea others (especially those looking to make money) — think it’s fantastic.

You can see how I did for February in my Financial Impact post below!! :)

  14. Gina says:

I’d love to learn more about Linkworth, too, so please do that follow-up post! I assume the text ads in your sidebar are examples of Linkworth?

I think you could do great with Amazon. There are a few tricks to earning more, but it’s pretty easy because everyone loves shopping at Amazon. You just need to get people there.

  15. Jodi says:

Hmmm, kind of bummed – LinkWorth denied me. :( Not sure why. They didn’t say anything specific. They referred me to link with a list of possible reasons why, but none of them related to me. I have an email to them for something more specific. The site I signed up with is Helping Moms Work From Home

I definitely need to work on my PR and Alexa scores too.

I think I’ll get reasons from them as to why before I sign up for more. If I need to fix somethings up, I’d rather do that first.

  16. Laurie says:

Hi Stacie! I just read your monetize your blog article and I signed up for LinkWorth and got accepted but don’t know what in the world to do next or what I am even doing with it!! Is it that advertisers pay you to put an ad on your blog? On your blog is the ads on the side or is it an ad like the fabric softner? I am very confused!! Help!
    ~Laurie

    • Stacie says:

That’s great that you got accepted! The first thing to do is make sure your profile is filled out. Then you will get emails everytime an advertiser wants to purchase an ad. YOu can then decide to approve the ad or decline it. I have a short post here about the types of ads: http://simplystacie.net/make-money-on-your-blog-with-linkworth/
I’m planning to write more on Linkworth since they are kinda confusing and people have lots of qs about them!

  17. Thanks for sharing this!!! It’s very helpful

dear Stacie, I got google ad sense approved through triond which I used for my blog, but then it is a part of blog frog community. will ggogle approve of that or should i delete my account with blogfrog?

    • Stacie says:

I think BlogFrog uses it own ads and not Google. Is that what you mean? I wouldn’t delete your account with BlogFrog. I have mine there and use Google Ads on my site as well.

  19. Thanks so much for sharing! Great ideas for a new blogger…I can use all the help I can get.
