My 2011 New Year’s Resolutions

I made some New Year’s Resolutions back in January for what I wanted to accomplish in 2010. I looked back and was surprised to see I had accomplished every single one of my blogging goals! I hardly ever am successful on all my resolutions so that in itself was an accomplishment for me. My personal resolutions…well, they weren’t too good, but lots has changed since I initially wrote them.

So I am repeating this process for 2011, but I will focus just on my blogging goals this time around. Ok so here goes…

  • Expand on my Blogger Outreach program (something is in the works for this, but I can’t say what yet!)
  • Continue on with my themed events and adding in a few new ones including a Kitchen themed event.
  • Write up a FAQ for bloggers who ask qs about getting follows, review products, etc.
  • Welcome Tab for my Facebook page.
  • Learn more on SEO and other Social Media topics
  • Buy a software so I can make my own buttons, banners, etc (and I’ll need to learn how to do this).
  • Try out a Facebook Giveaway using the Wildfire App.

So what are some of your resolutions for 2011? Link up if you wrote a New Year’s Resolutions post here to share with everyone!

  1. Oh I haven’t written my list, yet :) But I am going to. Those are all great goals. I have some fun and exciting things happening in 2011 that are secret still but I’m thrilled about them. Found ya on the blog hop :) I’ll be back with my list probably tomorrow or New Year’s Eve :)

  2. Oh and btw, if you write that info about getting blog followers, I will buy it! I have seen folks who have only a few hundred followers trying to sell the same kind of ebooks and it just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. I just changed my blog name and url so I am starting from scratch practically with followers. Stinks but had to be done.

    • That’s so funny you mention it because I had thought about doing an ebook…I just didn’t want to put it down in my resolutions in case I don’t do it- no pressure right LOL!

That’s just crazy about them selling ebooks like that…kinda funny though.

  3. This is wonderful! I just did my post! Thank you for the linky! What a great idea! I look forward to reading everyones!

  4. I would love the frequently asked questions and need a facebook welcome page also. That would meet some of my “technology” goals! Thanks for the linky!

  5. Thanks for posting this! I meant to say Resolutions not Revolutions….Im sorry!

  6. It’s funny, I “write” a FAQ for my site everyday in the shower but have yet to actually type it out and publish it. I also want to learn more about SEO and all that. I need to write a “how to enter my giveaways”, too. You have good ones! I will have to post mine and link up later. :)

  7. Stacie, thanks for sharing your blogging goals with us! I look forward to keeping up with your journey as you continue to grow :)

I also posted some of my blogging goals today on my site “The Crave to Save”: http://www.thecravetosave.com/2010/12/blogging-goals-for-2011.html

    Cheers!

  8. Mine aren’t so much blogging goals, but just my plain old New Years Resolutions. I did change them up quite a bit this year.

I am now going to head out into the blogosphere and see what everyone else has as for their resolutions.

  9. Great resolutions hope you do a better job sticking to yours then I have with mine so far. Oh well, there are a lot of days left still in 2011 maybe I’ll do better!

  10. Great resolutions! I keep meaning to get directions written down to start a blog and never do it. Maybe I’ll make that my resolution!

  11. I really need to do this… I keep saying I am going to do it but it hasn’t happened yet. LOL!

  12. I linked up!

I want to figure out the logo, banner and button stuff, too. I see so many awesome banners and I want some of that sweetstuff for my site, too!

  13. My resolutions are:
    – Also getting Blogger Outreach squared away with you and Cindi of course…
    - To stop procrastinating and get to WordPress
    - Offer more ways for my readers to earn money and monetize their blog as well as more ways to save
    - Lose weight.. Since I’ve been blogging for the last year and a half I have gained so much weight… ugh
    - Try not to procrastinate as much and do things a.s.a.p.. I work best under pressure and always wait til the last minute… I need to learn how to relax and go with the flow and breath occasionally..

So happy you accomplished all of your 2010 Resolutions and know that you’ll rock all of them in 2011 as well.. :)

  14. I’m not very good at setting specific resolutions and sticking with them. I like to just think that I want to do well in my classes, be more conscious about what I’m eating, and I like to see my traffic numbers go up. Haha! I feel that by setting sort of vague goals I won’t get as stressed out or let down.

  15. I didn’t come out and post a New Years resolution post but I did mention in a few posts that I want to get healthier in 2011. I’m hoping to stick with it this year.

  16. My bloggy goals are to finally launch my travel blog and another blog that is floating around in my brain!

  17. It seems like the idea of offering an e-book pops up on many blog-advice posts. I’m still not sure it’s worth the effort.

Good luck with all your resolutions, dear friend. You’re one of the hardest workers I know! I’m guessing you’ll be very successful *wink*

  18. I would love to know what software you end up with for graphics!

  19. I’m not a fan of resolutions because I don’t seem to follow them, but for blogging it is important to have a plan for the year ahead as it is with any business. I do that every year and like to look back at far my blog has come.

  20. I love your resolutions and I am excited to watch and you accomplish them all. WHICH I know you will. I AM S EXCITED ABOUT THE BLOGGER OUTREACH> WOOOO HOOOO.
