Title: Peas and Bananas Outside With Lil Boo
Author: Daddy Bookins
My Review:
Peas and Bananas Outside With Lil Boo by Daddy Bookins and illustrated by Dania Piotti is a children’s tale of a little boy named Lil Boo and his sidekick a charming little elephant who go on a fun adventure exploring the world outside from A-Z. From ants to birds to spider to tree….my children liked to try to guess what was coming next. The illustrations were lovely and I couldn’t help smiling at the adorable elephant.
I liked that this book is written from the perspective of a father. Daddy Bookins is the pen name of Cameron Davison who has a very successful “daddy” blog called, “Peas and Bananas.” It is so interesting to me to have the insight of a dad who is “Learning and living life through the trials and tribulations of raising a toddler.”
This was a fun and engaging story for pre-school and kindergarten age children and was given the “thumbs up” by my 3, 4 and 5 year old. My three year old son actually sat looking at the pictures and tried to match the pictures with the right letter of the alphabet that he learned after I finished reading the story.
