When I’m hanging around the house and relaxing, I love lighting candles and just enjoying a moment of quiet contemplation. I don’t get many of those moments, so I relish them when I can!
For that reason, I was really intrigued when I had the opportunity to review a Scandle Candle. I’d never heard of Scandle Candles and I thought it was a truly unique idea to have a candle that melted to turn into body lotion! I couldn’t wait to try it out to see what I thought about it.
I received a Scandle Originals Travel Candle in a new limited edition scent – Copa Cabana! I thought that the tin was really cute and I liked it because it was a reasonable size without being bulky! I also thought it was neat that the tin came with a silicone band that was actually a eco-bracelet that said, “Reduce/Reuse/Recycle” on it. Once my Scandle is done, it will be a cute bracelet to wear!
What impressed me most, however, was the Copa Cabana scent. On their website, they list this scent as being “Top notes of creamy coconut and vanilla rounded out with notes of tropical fruits”. I have often, found, however, that the description does not match the smell when you actually receive a candle. I was ecstatic when I discovered the scent did match the description on the site – the candle had a beautiful natural scent that wasn’t overpowering (but also wasn’t so weak that you couldn’t smell it). It reminded me, to be honest, of a scented version of a Pina Colada, which I loved! I also found, as a moisturizer, that it worked really well and had a great feeling on my skin – my skin felt supple but not greasy!
Overall, I was really impressed and I’d like to get more Scandle Candles for myself. I also plan to recommend these to my friends as I know they’d love them too!
