As parents, we want to be able to provide the best for our children while still making economically sound decisions. We mothers in particular also take style into consideration when shopping for items such as clothing and shoes for our little ones. When I was offered the opportunity to reviewÂ Wee Squeak, an online shoe site for infants and toddlers, I was in awe of all the terrific styles available for all four seasons. Picking out just one pair to review was quickly becoming a challenge. And how would I know which size to choose? Luckily, Wee Squeak makes it very simple to help parents choose the correct size with their sizing chart. I decided to be practical and think ahead to the winter months, so I requested to review theÂ Brown Suede Boot for girls in a size 8. I was pleased that the boots were no more expensive than any of the other shoes on the site, which are all available for $31.95. The sizing chart listed on the site proved to be accurate; my 28 month oldâ€™s shoe size is currently a 7. She has a little bit of wiggle room in the boots, and by the time the first snow falls, her brown suede boots will be a perfect fit.

Each pair of shoes on Wee Squeak comes with a built-in squeaker that sounds as your child takes each step. The squeaker not only lets you know exactly where your child is at any given moment, but it also indicates to you that your child is stepping correctly from his/her heel to toe. My daughter Zoe was a little apprehensive about the squeak as she took her first steps in her new shoes, but quickly made a game of it as she incorporated skipping and jumping into her routine just to hear the high pitched squeak. The best thing about the squeakers is that they are easily removable and she can still wear her Wee Squeaks to church and other events where guests are expected to keep the noise down. $31.95 seems a bit pricey to me for a childâ€™s pair of shoes, but the overall style and quality of the shoes has made me reconsider my viewpoint. The soles are also flexible and conform like liquid to her foot, making the shoes seem as if theyâ€™ve already been broken in. I know exactly what I will be giving as a gift when I attend my next baby shower.
