Title: Winning Words: Sports Stories and Photographs
Author: Charles R. Smith
My Review:
This is one of those “small but mighty” deals. A short book containing 6 short stories; filled with words of wisdom, encouragement and good sportsmanship mentality. The photos are simple, yet captivating and are beautiful. Each story is based on a quote from famous and inspiring athletes.
I know that young, sports minded people, the target of this book I think, will thoroughly enjoy this one. Actually, now that I think about it, youth has nothing to do with it. I’m not even and athlete, and I am certainly not a youth, but I loved it.
It’s a great little gift for coaches or P.E. teachers or even for MVP awards at schools or in organized sporting team situations. Great little book.
Sometimes I like to leave you with a favorite little quote from the book, so here’s my choice:“Concentration is the ability to think about absolutely nothing when it is absolutely necessary.” Ray Knight
True in any situation I would say. Go out and grab this little treasure of a book…
*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
