Meet Myla
Myla is a life-long resident of Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. She is married with two sons. A self-described bookworm, her hobbies also include knitting, painting, photography and music.
Meet Kimmel
My name is Kimmel and I’m so excited to have a reason to devour more books!
I was born in Utah but I’ve been a native to Oregon since I was twelve. I married my high school sweetheart and we’ve been married for six years. Together we have two adorable little girls and hope to add to them. My husband is in the Air Force so we will be leaving beautiful Oregon to discover new parts of the world.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a stay at home wife and mother. This gives me lots of time to read, one of my favorite things to do. I will read almost anything if the premise appeals to me, however I do tend to migrate towards Fantasy and Science Fiction. I’m also a sucker for a good love story and I enjoy the thrill of a good mystery. My favorite authors include, but are not limited to, Terry Goodkind, Orson Scott Card, Brandon Sanderson, Dean Koontz, and LaVyrle Spencer.
I have recently been developing my writing skills, my second favorite hobby. I’ve been working on a Young Adult novel that will hopefully be finished within the next two months.
Life with two little girls is hectic, but reading keeps me sane. I look forward to offering my opinions to those who love the same things I do in the hopes that they can find their next great read!
Meet Jen S.
My name is Jen and I’m thrilled to be a part of Stacie’s book review team. I currently reside in the Great White North (AKA Michigan) and my husband and I have two beautiful little girls, known on the web as Lil’ Bit (3 yo) and Itty Bitty (born late 2010). As a high schooler I had literally read almost every YA book in our small library; most more than once! I’ve always liked to read and write and I’m glad to have found an outlet for that again!
I find that I read a lot of historical & Christian fiction, lots of nonfiction about productivity, relationships, organization, and my Catholic faith, and TONS of children’s picture books. My husband works hard so that I can be a stay at home homeschooling mom. My degree is in Business with minors in Accounting & International Business and I keep my skills sharp by helping my husband run the family IT business.
I love recommending books to people and letting them know if it’s a book worth reading (though I’ve found very few books not worth finishing). I can’t wait to share my reviews with you and maybe even broadening my horizons a little!
Meet Kellie
My name is Kellie and I am thrilled to be a member of Simply Stacie’s Book Review Team. I am a resident of Illinois, in a small suburban town. I am currently working towards earning my Bachelor’s degree, with a major in Mass Communications and a Historical Studies minor.
I enjoy reading, writing, exercise, and, some people think this is a bit strange, I enjoy politics. I always have. In fact, I can recall sitting in front of the TV, at the age of 5, watching CSPAN with my father on a regular basis. Despite my interest in politics, I don’t desire a political career-perhaps one day, but as for now, the answer is no.
My taste in books spans across the fantasy line. I enjoy paranormal, Sci-Fi, and Urban fantasy books. I have always read books, even as a small child. During the summer months, I would take a walk to the town’s public library with my sisters and just spend hours in the library, searching for that one perfect book that would quench my thirst for reading. Some of my favorite authors include, Patricia Briggs, Melinda Metz, Vivian Vande Velde, Ilona Andrews, and a newer addition, Lisa Shearin.
A book has that special ability to pull a person away from the world’s troubles and take them on a journey through a newly discovered world. A world filled with exciting characters; both hostile and heroic, challenging situations, which eventually get solved, and when it’s all over, you can’t wait to pick up that next book, for a new adventure. Reading is indeed a great journey and I am anxious to share my opinions with fellow readers.
Meet Lori
My name is Lori and I’m thrilled to join Stacie’s book review team. I live in a suburb of Boston with my maltese puppy Sadie. I have three beautiful nieces that I adore, and love spoiling. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, but for the last 15 years have worked with both of my brothers (we’re 4th generation) and father in our family business.
I have loved to read for as long as I can remember. I am never without a book in my hand, or very close by. I started my blog four years ago because my friends loved all of the books I recommended to them. They even started calling me “The Book Pimp.” They thought the only way I could let everyone know about my awesome book choices was to start a book blog. I wasn’t sure blogging was right for me, I mean, who would care what I had to say? I’m so glad I listened becauses I have made amazing connections and friendships with fellow bloggers, authors, publicists, and publishers. It has been an amazing experience.
There is nothing like escaping into a great book, and nothing more I’d rather do in my spare time. Right now my favorite genres are mystery/thrillers, romantic suspense, contemporary fiction, woman’s fiction, suspense, legal thrillers and cozies.

Howdy Ladies…. missing Myla’s info…..
Stacy Marie,
Funny thing your new husband putting a lid on the cat count. When I met my wife she had “Zool” the cat, but without asking he was given to a recently split family – At the time I suspected I was replacing him. Thinking i was the apple of her eye.
But no, I now live in a small-holding looking after chickens and bees — when I’m not watering the tomatoes.
Marriage is great, welcome to the club ;o)
Dave.
I just completed my second book, “Views from Sandhasuen: Experiences from a Foreign Service Assignment. It documents our three year life (struggle?) in Heidelberg Germany. Might I ask if you would be open to reviewing the book, for attribution? If so, please provide me with a preferred email address, to which I will email an overview as well as a PDF of the book. I appreciate working with you ande your team; a team that I respect. Thanks

Heather,
OMG! It so great to see a fellow Richmonder. I rarely meet or see online anyone from my hometown. Anyhoo…. I just finished writing my first book called, Better Than 8: Fantasy. I was looking all over the place for a review policy and I must have overlooked it. I will be self publishing the book and it will be available 5/27 as an e-book; the paper version will be published a month from then. Do you review erotic romance stories?
Amara Simmons has always fantasized about having two lovers but believes it is just that: a fantasy. She likes her men “gifted”, if you know what I mean. At the suggestion of a friend she registers for an online dating website for well-endowed men called betterthan8.com. She believes nothing will come of her site membership but after months of flirting online via email and instant messaging, she’s shocked to discover that she’s fallen for a gorgeous Latin man that has the potential to be her everything – except he never calls and she has no idea why. Nursing a broken heart she is totally unprepared to meet her would-be Latin lover in person much less at the negotiation table of a multi million-dollar real estate deal. In Puerto Rico, passion ignites. Promises are finally fulfilled and the lines of reality blur when her fantasy finally blooms to life. Can Amara have it all: the deal, the man, and the fantasy?
