Who doesn’t love chocolate? In our house when chocolate appears I’m lucky if I get a few bites because my husband loves it as much as I do! For that reason, I was happy to have the opportunity to try out a custom-made Chocbite chocolate bar! And, because I know my husband is a connoisseur of all things chocolate, I even let him design the bar!

Chocbite is a gourmet chocolate bar company based out of Texas and owned by Adeline Rem. In her own words, “CHOCbite is a wholly woman owned business that was perceived by me, Adeline Rem, the Chief Chocolate Lover! I was carefully watching what I ate (in order to lose weight) and, if I was good all day, I would reward myself with a little piece of chocolate (about 50 calories). This in turn began my obsession with the perfect piece, which in turn inspired me to make a chocolate bar company where you could choose your own chocolate type, and all the ingredients too!!!

When we went to the Chocbite site to build our bar, I automatically loved the concept! I thought it was really cool that you could design your own bar or that you could chose one of the popular types of bars in a variety of categories (such as Fruity Bars, Salty Bars or Sweet Bars). We decided to make our own bar so we started by choosing the type of bar and then adding our toppings (you can add up to five). For our bar, we decided to have a milk chocolate bar with caramel bits, raisins and chocolate sprinkles (I wanted to add a Peace Sign decorative top because I thought it was cute but my husband won that debate). Though we chose sweet and fruity options, you can also chose from a huge variety of nuts and savory options as well!

After we placed our order, I received emails telling me both that the order was processed and when the order was shipped. As someone who likes to be “in the loop”, I really appreciated all of this personalized service!

When our bar arrived, my husband couldn’t wait to get it open! By the time I arrived home from work, he had devoured almost the entire bar (I’m glad he saved me a few pieces)! The bar was a really generous size and was very thick with plenty of toppings! I thought that the quality of the chocolate was excellent – it was creamy and didn’t have a waxy taste like you sometimes get from lower-quality chocolate. I also thought the caramel bits were really yummy!

Overall, I would highly recommend Chocbite gourmet Chocbars for the chocolate lover in your life! I thought their customer service was excellent, the product arrived quickly and, above all, the chocolate was amazing!
