My Review:

I’m a big fan of the Law of Attraction and The Secret and have read many books that help you to apply these lessons to your life. I really enjoyed the author’s unique approach to creating positive changes in your life. She explains the concepts in an easy, conversational style that made me feel like she was talking directly to me. So much of what she said rang true to me and hit me hard in a few areas of my life. I actually was able to look at some negative situations (both past and present) in a new light. It was my own kind of “a-ha” moment. Its not too often that a book does that to me which makes this one so special.

The basic concept of this book is a 30 day program designed to help you improve your life and be able to move forward from whatever negativity is holding you back. Each chapter focuses on different aspects and will show you how to apply the ~ing Equation to ensure positive changes.

The ~ing Equation consists of 3 simple steps- Rethinking (actively replacing negative thoughts with positive ones), Moving (physical activity to promote change on a mind and body level and Receiving (meditating and opening up your mind). You are supposed to do this for 30 days to work on each area in the book.

For me, I didn’t follow the program to the letter for a couple reasons one being the time since I do have a lot of issues and it is a long process and I need to write this review. However, this is the kind of book where you can do the program wholeheartedly to the letter or just pick bits and pieces of it and apply the lessons to your life. I read the entire book and it all resonated with me. There was one issue that I have been struggling with for so long and never before was I able to look at it differently until now. Something just clicked inside and now I can actually SEE why this was happening and what I can do to change it! I just makes perfect sense now and I don’t know why I was so blind and didn’t see it like this before!! I can’t really get into too much detail about it since its very personal, but wow did it ever all come together for me!

The only thing I felt bad that I know I can’t do is all the physical activities due to my chronic pain issues. I will never be able to ride a bike again or do many of the activities the author suggests to help release the negative from your life. I wish my body would cooperate because it sounds like it would be so much fun to try and I can see how the issues can be released. However, I guess I will just have to live with my body and my situation and do the best that I can otherwise.

I highly recommend this book and suggest to everyone that you pick up a copy. It made me see my life (including this darn pain that I struggle with daily) in a more positive way.
